    Unanswered: Documenting your database

I was looking to create some technical documentation for our new Oracle database and wondering if there are any good examples of design documents or templates for this.

    Introduction to Oracle Clusterware

usually a company has it's own templates for documentation.
if for personal use then use a format that is comfortable for you.

personally, I am an outline step-by-step type of person.
I like to open my documentation and see steps 1-100 and exact commands of what
needs to be done or what was done in the past.

    Wink Rda

A good start is to download Oracle Remote Diagnostics Agent (RDA) and run the reports.
You can use the reports "as is" or customize the results to obtain the documentation you need.
