    Unanswered: Pervasive SQL equilivent for INSTR

    Is there a function/procedure to replace full stops in a particular field with a blank.

    Example: P.O.Box ABC with P O Box ABC

    What version of PSQL?
    I did the following using the REPLACE function:
    Code:
    create table dbf (f1 char(10))#
    insert into dbf (f1) values ('P.O. Box')#
    select f1, replace(f1,'.',' ') from dbf#

    I never thought of the 'replace' command, it works perfectly.
