    Unanswered: comparing 2 date fields

I have a table with 2 date fields. One is the date the charges were posted and the other is the discharge date of the patient. I am needing a query to compare the two fields to find out what charges were posted after the discharge date (to find the late charges). My background isnt in databases but i am wanting to learn. I have read up and have been unlucky as to find a solution. is there an easy way to this? if its vba or sq l Imay need the full code. Sorry I'm new to this aspect of my job and am still learning.
I would love is someone could school me on this
    Thanks!

In a query you could use:

    Where [Charges_Posted_Date] > [discharge_date]
