    Unanswered: ODBC Server Connect Error

I have a tool that connects to a SQL server that stores a bunch of information. When certain users try to run a query that creates a table it fails and displays the following message:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] invalid object name 'dbo.headerinfo'. (#208)

This error is only happening for 7 out of 200 users and I am unable to replicate it on my side.

Any idea's on what could be causing the error and any idea's on how to fix it?

The object definitely exists in the dbo schema, right? Do these 7 people have a different user/login to the db compared to the others?

yep it exists and the people all have the same rights with in the server.

The only that has changed is these 7 people have recieved new laptops in the past week.

I'd bet that the DSN on the new laptops either specifies the wrong database or fails to specify the right database.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.

Good shout Pat - check the default database setting in the DSN.
