Lightbulb Unanswered: Issue with "db2 list db directory"

    I have two instances on a Linux server with DB2 v9.5 :
one db2 default instance named db2inst1 and
    another named db2ttet.

I have two databases (GMT1 and GMT2) created under db2ttet instance.

When I issued "db2 list db directory" when logging in as db2ttet, it returned two db entries: GMT1 and GMT2 which look correct.

However, when I issued "db2 list db directory" when logging in as default db2inst1 instance, it returned exactly the same two db entries as above which do not belong to this default instance, db2inst1.

The output of "db2 list db directory" under these two instances is exactly the same, including the directory, etc. I did not catalog the database at all.

Anyone has any ideas on how that happened and how it can be resolved?

Any comments and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Check to see which db2profile is being executed when you log into the instance owner id. It should be in the following (hidden) file under the home directory of the user (if you use bash shell):

    M. A. Feldman
IBM Certified DBA on DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
IBM Certified DBA on DB2 for z/OS and OS/390

Yes, you are right. The output is correct after the profile is updated with the correct instance.

Thank you so much for your help! It is greatly appreciated.
