Based on my discussion with the client, this one looks like it could be a ground-floor opportunity for the right person (strong career path). The key skills required:
• A strong technical/functional background with Hyperion Essbase (full SDLC & includes the usual: load rules, calc scripts, tuning & optimization, MaxL, batch scripting, etc.)
• Strong financial or accounting background
• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting
Experience with Hyperion Planning, and Microsoft's SSAS definite high-value plus.
The position is on the IT side but may be physically situated in Finance or Accounting - this has not yet been decided. The client is currently using System 7 but will migrate to System 11.
Company employs approximately 10,000 people in 90 locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina with sales around $3 billion. Big on community involvement with a culture described as entrepreneurial and high performance (sounds like fast-paced environment but not a sweat-shop).
