    Unanswered: how to format 5.65656565657676E+21 into number

    Hi,

    I have a table called transactionmaster.this table have a column Name TransactionUnit its datatype is Number(25,8).
    but when i am inserting 5.65656565657676767677 in the table it is showing following output:
    5.65656565657676E+21 when i am retrieveing .

    which is not in proper number format please suggest me how to resolve this.

    just out of curiosity, what is a "transaction unit" and why does it require so many digits?

    5.65656565657676E+21

    your data type is number 25,8 and in the last you see there is E so it couldn't insert in it

    if this is not your answer then again ask with proper way....
