Unanswered: Exportation from SQL Server 2008 to SPSS (.sav)

    Hi

I would like to push data from SQL Server to SPSS files (.sav).

The internets are barren on this. SSIS does not support .sav natively - can't find any addons.

I know SPSS can import from SQL Server so worst case I might have to look at some manner of automation or command line call but that would be my last port of call.

CLR would be acceptable if that has the necessary components.

    Anyone have any thoughts please?

    Thanks

Thanks George - I was just returning to post just that.

Out of curiosity, what search terms did you use to get that?

I forget. But I can trawl my history if you're genuinely interested.

It looks like the SPSS site was recently updated (or that IBM are generating false search results using their inbuilt search option).

Ferinstance Google throws up the following as a result SPSS Inc. which if you follow, will take you to a 404 page. Lovely.

Yes - I followed that link too. Curiously (and I've never seen this before) if you try to view it in Google's cache it redirects to the source page too. Cooo.

Nah, not that interested. Just curious because I didn't actually find that information via Google using my terms.
