Review, modify, and test existing NATURAL2 programs and/or CICS COBOL programs, related JCL, and JOBTRAC Schedules.
Code and test new programs using NATURAL2 and/or CICS COBOL in accordance with TxDMV standards.
Develop test plans for all phases of testing.
Write specifications based on user requirements.
Participate in integration tests.
G. Gain approval of each deliverable in a meeting/walkthrough environment.
Create design documentation.
Provide support during non-standard business hours.
Conduct knowledge transfer to TxDMV personnel.
Diagnose production problems and perform resolutions.
Assist internal and external users in their production problem diagnosis and resolution.
Train and document sufficiently to enable TxDMV personnel to provide maintenance and ongoing support to any code written during project assignments.
Log and document problems and solutions.
Provide on-the-job-training in problem resolution techniques.
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Recent computer programming experience in either: NATURAL 2 or CICS/COBOL
Recent experience performing structured programming and developing program specifications and test plans
Recent experience in structured mainframe analysis and design
Recent experience working effectively in a project team environment
Communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Recent experience developing web services with CICS
Full-time experience in maintaining a Vehicle Titling and Registration application
Knowledge of a Registration and Title System (RTS) and/or knowledge of the International Registration Plan (IRP)
Recent experience working effectively with Table Driven Systems
Recent experience using TSO
Recent experience using ROSCOE
Recent experience using JOBTRAC job scheduler
Recent experience with IBM MVS JCL
Recent experience working effectively with Panvalet.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to include a minimum of twelve (12) hours in management science, computer science, information systems, and/or data processing.
