Unanswered: Migrating mysql databases - HELP

    Hello,
i have worked with mssql for years, but now working on a migration project with MySQL to migrate between servers.

However the db in question is about 16gb.

I created a db in plesk and in phpmyadmin, i tried to import it. But get a timeout error.

So in the sql panel, i tried to run the scripts, which i opened in notepad and it just keeps looping.

    1. How on earth do you successfully migrate such a large MYsql db ?
    2. Where do i find the php.ini file to increase the import size of a db from 2mb to 16 or more

    thanks
    Ehi

For such a large db better is you first upload the sql file to server and then import db from command line using putty or similar tools.
