Unanswered: Storing values from combo box

I have a number of fields that will need to collect numeric information that the user enters.

However, I also need to implement a combo box for the choices "N/A" and "Unknown." These will be assigned values -1 and -2.

The problem is that I would like to display the numeric value if that's what is entered, or else "N/A" or "Unknown" if that's selected instead. It does strike me as a bit unrealistic, but I was wondering if someone has any ideas.

Are the numeric values limited to certain values? Or is there an unlimited number of values. If the values are limited you could create a table with all of the possibilities and have the numeric value in one field and the description in another the data would look like:

    Value-----Description
    1---------1
    2---------2
    -1--------Unknown
    -2--------N/A

What do want the user to see when they expand the combo box? Unknown and N/A followed by a whole list of numbers?

See: Forms: Adding "All" to a listbox or combobox
It provides two ways for doing that.
    Have a nice day!
