Please excuse me if I am asking this in the wrong place.
I have DB2 7.8 and QMF 7.2 (don't know where to run db2level to get all the other info). I have about ten datasets I transfer to my PC each month, and I have the query running in a PROC (procedure), but I have to do the file transfer manually. I could save about a few minutes each time if I had the file transfer in the PROC. Is there a way to do this? I use Extra!PC as a terminal program, I don't know if that matters or not.
My PROC is like this:
RUN QUERY REINBENEFICD
SAVE DATA AS REIN_BENEFIC
EXPORT DATA TO 'LAAIGE.REINBENE'
RUN QUERY REINSURE1 (&&EOM='2010-06-30')
The EXPORT part gets the report to a dataset, but how do I get the dataset to my PC's C: drive (or somewhere) with a command in the PROC?
Thanks for any help.
First off, there is no version 7.8.Change the QMF proc to a rexx proc. The use TSO to FTP or whatever to your PC. Ihaven't used extra in a bit, but you should be able to pull the PUT command out of there one of the times you perform it manually.
