    Unanswered: db2haicu fails with error

    Hi,

    i'm setting up a HADR-System with db2haicu.
Setup of HADR for the database is done. Now i want to configure the automatic failover with db2haicu. It's my first time, so i'm using http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/fo...R_db2haicu.pdf as reference.
Setup ran fine till i wnated to set up the Cluster Manager. After i selected the TSA, the configuration for it failed. The following Messages were written to db2diag.log

you indicate setup is ok : do you mean db2haicu ?
    now cluster manager ?
    additional ??
please remove all on both nodes db2haicu -delete
start with a clean setup and indicate the error
    is preprpnode done ?
    is db2cptsa done
many problems have been corrected with fp1

    Thanks for the Hints.

preprpnode was done on both servers
db2cptsa was missing, but it's done now on both servers.

DB2 FP2 installed a new version of sa scripts. I manually removed the FP0 Version of SA MP and installed the Version from FP2 (sam-3.1.0.6-10046).
Database was setup after installation of FP2. HADR is setup and working fine. I can make failovers manually.

I've dropped the Cluster Configuration and restarted it

Yes, i was able to fix it.
I was really annoyed and so i reinstalled both boxes from scratch. Afterwards it worked as expected.

    HI Glabelle,

If your problem still persists. Please make sure that the hostname, uname -a, db2nodes.cfg has the same hostname. If it is a short hostname it must be short in all the 3 locations mentioned and if it is fully qualified name it must be fully qualified in all the 3 locations.

    on AIX:

    hostname

    uname -a

    cd $HOME/sqllib
    cat db2nodes.cfg

    Thanks,
    Panditt
