    Unanswered: reference bluse

I have this "build" access file in which I set a reference to a "production access file" (a copy of my "master develop access file").
I am able to manipulate the modules in the referenced access file's vbe.vbProject, but I don't seem to be able to save the result.

    in fact

    VBE.VBProjects(oReference.Name).SaveAs "saved"
returns an error stating that the method is not valid for this kind of project.

Since Access 2000 you can only save design changes when you have exclusive access to the database. If you added a reference to a production database, I am assuming someone is using the production database, correct. If on the otherhand you are the only one using both databases then you will need to close the production database to be able to save the changes you are making from the second database.

Thanks. I doubt that this is a multi user issue, but I'll check.
