    Unanswered: Text String #Error

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me why

    Code:
    =IIf(IsNull([Release]),"",[Release] & Chr(37))
in a form text box control's control source shows #Error when

    Code:
    =IIf(IsNull([Protector]),"",[Protector] & Chr(37))
    doesn't?

They are both text box controls. The data for both is stored in the same table and drawn through the same query. All formatting properties are the same.

One works and the other doesn't. I'm at a loss. Any ideas would be very welcome.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    FYI Figure it out.

It turns out that 'Release' used as a control name causes a referencing error. (I found this out by trying to edit the control source code while in normal view as opposed to design view and got the error dialog "You tried to reference .........."

It must be treated like the other "Reserved" names like 'Date' etc.

I changed the control name to "Release%" and the above code works as it should.

    Cheers,
    Dan
