Unanswered: Create login via SSMS, defaults to db_owner

    Hi,
I am having an issue with setting up a user via SSMS on SQL Server 2005. In one database the login creation defaults to db_owner role membership. How do I change this default behavior so that it won't automatically setup a login with the db_owner role for the database?

    Thanks

It's not a default behavior, especially since you said that it only happens in 1 database. When you click on the checkbox against that database, do you see a user name or "dbo" show up on the right from the database name?

When I got to SSMS - Database and click the + box for the database I don't see dbo or a user name.
