    Unanswered: SQL error in Application accessing SQL database

    OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
    Incorrect syntax near NEI0000 ID Dispatcher #3092
    Unclosed Quotation Mark after char string AND Inactive='1'


    Can anybody tell me why this error is popping up in application. Is it due to application code or some problem in database

    This is due to an application error.

    You should try to see the SQL statement that caused this error message. Then it will make more sense.

    Grabel's Law: 2 is not equal to 3 -- not even for very large values of 2.
    Pat Phelan's Law: 2 very definitely CAN equal 3 -- in at least two programming languages

    One of two things. Either a (failed) SQL Injection attack, or someone is forgetting to escape their quotes.
