Unanswered: Discrepency's between MDX query and Excel Pivot

    Hi all,

I have a measure that totals Sales Revenue.

If I connect to the cube via Excel 2003 and pivot it for
    Q4 2008 I get a figure of just over 14 million

However in SSMS with an MDX query I get just under 13 million

    Big difference.

I freely admit I am a newb to SSAS and MDX but have done programming and SQL coding
before and I am at a loss as to the difference and it is quite frankly worrying me :-)

The cube is based on daily sales with a time demsion
with all the usual suspects, Weeks, Months, Qtrs, Years.

Any advice where to start looking would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry - please ignore. Was using a different measure. That is what happens when you have stared at the screen all day and have very similar names for measures. Sorry.

Oh, none of us have EVER done that!

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
