    Unanswered: Opening a picture

    Hi
I use the following to open a jpeg file
    Application.FollowHyperlink myURL, , True

My problem is that it opens internet explorer embedding the picture in it.
Is there another command that will only open the picture? please help..

I'd expect a picture to be loaded into an image control
so plonk an image control or picture box onto the form
set the image/picture property to the appropriate vlaue. I dont' know if you can set such a comntrols image to one outside the network but its worth a try....

you may need to put in place soem error handling code to cater for where the control cannot find the image. in the apst I've set an initial image which says 'image not found' and then replaced the image as required.

do you knwo where the picture is
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
