    Unanswered: Filter subform on the basis of multiple combo form

    Hi,

    I am new to access. I want to filter my subform on the basis of two combo boxes.
    Subform name is ReportsSubform
    combo box 1 = cboDivision, Combo box 2 = cboIA. Please advise

    you have to modify the SQL of the subform's recordsource. Open your form in design mode, right click on little square in top left corner and select properties. Then under Data tab in first row called Record Source click on the textbox and then select "..." on the right - that will open query builder. in the criteria row enter: Forms![MainForm].cboDivision.Value in the Criteria of the field that you want the cbo to filter. Do the same for cboIA in the same row under Criteria.
    Don't save, but close the Query builder and when asked whether you want to save changes choose yes.

    the subform is not a query but from the table. If people modify or add their comments I want it to be updated in the the table. I have attached the sheet for your reference. Please advise and thanks for your help in advance
