    Unanswered: ODBC MSaccess some use can't change records

    Have a Database that has ODBC link in it

    I login to the server and run the a MSaccess program everything work

    I get a other user "a" to login on server and everything works

    now when me or user "a" login into there computer the same database work but this 1 screen it say record can't be updated but it works on the server
    so that telling me it computer related so I deleted the ODBC connection and login as the admin created the ODBC connection again that screen does not work still



    and if user "b" login on his computer everything works even that one screen

    but if user "b" login into user "a" computer the same screen does not work

    there a date feild that have to be change check the Reginonal setting OK

    this has me stump

    hope this make cents I can't work out why this one screen does not work on 1 computer.

    Can you post how the ODBC link is created (driver used, type of server, mode of authentification, default language would be a good minimum)? Also, what happens when testing the connection (button Test Data Source in the ODBC links interface)?

    Clicking the testing buttom works

    They can add new records to the Database

    it seen it one query written wrong
    Its like to me a badly written query ie the way join the tables and you can't update records
    which I can under stand
    but how come the the same query will let me update (change record) on the server using ODBC connection.
    to it look like a computer problem (but why) I have deleted ODBC connection under that user and login as the Admin rebuilt it under the admin log on and got the user to log in again still broken
