Unanswered: Unicode Porblem, While Generating HTML

OK i recently started using MySQL & PHP, for the main reason of generating HTML pages for my website. It's working fine except for properly displaying Unicode characters in HTML output. Unicode characters are usually replaced by rectangles or question marks.
For some reasons i am sure, the problem is not with MySQL but with PHP file. MySQL table, fields collation is utf8_general_ci

So what you guys do to solve this problem?

I assume the problem is with characters outside the normal character set of whatever your local language is -- ie, with foreign characters?

Character encodings are a pretty complex topic, but possible things to check:

    • Are the characters displaying properly in the database itself?
    • Are you specifying the correct character set when outputting your web page?
    • Is your font capable of displaying the characters that are showing up garbled?
