    Question Unanswered: Filter Question

    Hi All,

    I have a form in my database that houses a table filled with employee data. Well when I open the form, it automatically displays record 1 of 1 instead of all the records. Why is it auto filtering the records? I'd prefer there to be no filter upon open of the form and just display all records until I request a filter.

    Thanks for any help you can provide.

    In design mode of the form have you tried clearing the filter property?

    This occurs because you filter the Employees and then want all the Employees, the Filter Property is not cleared. I only got to the bottom of this recently, as most of my forms have a close button I added:
    Code:
    Function CloseForm()

        With CodeContextObject
            .Filter = ""
            .OrderBy = ""
            DoCmd.Close
        End With

    End Function
