    Unanswered: QBE SQL lower case?

    Using QBE, but would like output table to use lowercase on a field - or to make query use lowercase in a comparison. Is this possible?

    Tried using SQL function LOWER(), but get syntax errors...so if LOWER works, then I'm not using it correctly.

    in general, you can't use functions within the query.. but you can easily scan the result table and do what you're asking..

    scan
    [myfield]=lower([myfield])
    endscan

    Paradox help lists LOWER() as an SQL function - wouldn't it somehow be possible to use it in SQL query view?

    The scan function I assume needs a separate objectPAL script.

    I use the QBE, not the Local SQL

    you can put the QBE code in a script with many other things, of course..

    if you need detailed tech help for Paradox, you need to go to Home - Paradox Community , as I suggest in almost every recent thread here..
