    Unanswered: Correct way to execute a procedure within a package

    Please bare with me... I am new to this environment. I need to create .sqls that I can execute by running SqlPlus from a unix shell script (ksh). The sql will be executing either a stand alone procedure or procedure within a package. Is this the correct?

    TFcleanup.sql (executes a procedure)
    set timing on;
    set serveroutput on;
    execute schema.conv_housekeeping;

    TFname.sql (executes a procedure within a package)
    set timing on;
    set serveroutput on;
    execute schema.conv_name.prc_main;

    If/when no errors appear, then it is correct.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
    Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
