    Unanswered: Decode IP from application ID

    Hi Friends,

    Can some one advise me how do we find IP of client connected to DB2 remotely.

    Sometimes I used to Hex convert discarding first caharacter. But just today I found appi_id which does not seem convertible easily.

    Before GA070290.xxxx.xxxxx simply this one was 10.7.2.144.
    Now C0A80A0D.xxxx..... this one is not similar

    Is there a trick or any official way to find the IP.

    Regards

    You do not discard the first character. You convert it as follows if greater than "F":

    G=0
    H=1
    I=2
    etc.

    So I assume that you just convert the "C0" to the decimal value.
