Unanswered: Unable to start OEM on Windows

    Hi All,

I recieve this error message when either trying to get a status or start the dbconsole ion a windows environment

    C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\BIN>emctl status dbconsole

    OC4J Configuration issue. C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole
    _baslmeprdmdbw01.lme.co.uk_MDDLIVE not found.

Apparantly it was running at the weekend, but now if I attempt to start it or look at the status
I recieve the error above. I mainly work on a unix server, but this is occuring on windows.

Any idea why I recieve this error?

    Thanks in advance

Is it possible that this system's name changed (via DHCP)?

    Well, something changed!

Additional clues may exist in the EM logfile.

    Log file attached

This is the log file we recieve when attempting to start the EM dbconsole on the windows server.
It could be something related to the last line of the log file, where it mentions 'Oracle Metalink credentials are incorrect or missing'.

If all else fails, rebuild, using the 'emca recreate' command. It's quick, & painless.

EDIT: Of course, you will still need to find out why it stopped working in the first place, but at least you can do this in slower time if you've got the DBConsole up & running again.
