    Unanswered: Request for testers

    Hi all,

I am still looking for people who are interested in testing and evaluating
the Cego database system. Cego has been developed over the last 10 years
and has reached a functionality and quality, where it might be useful for productive environments.

Cego is available as open source under GPL.

If you are interested, take a look at Lemke IT and drop me a message. Thanks in advance !

    Best regards,
    Björn

    Windows binaries

Cego is available just in source code. So you still have to compile it by yourself.
The following platforms have been tested so far

    - Mac OS X ( development platform )
    - Solaris ( x86 + SPARC )
    - FreeBSD
    - Linux
    - Windows ( Using GNU MinGW as a compile suite )

Compiling applications as part of an installation might be normal for Linux users, but it is definitely not for Windows users (very few actually have a C compiler installed - including me).

So I don't think you'll get a lot of Windows testers if you don't provide pre-built binaries (I for one would like to test it but as I can't install it...)

    cego compile

Thanks for your feedback. Since I think it is not a big think to make a windows compile, I will check out, if I can provide you one ...

    Best regards,
    Björn
