    Unanswered: Reading databases across servers in MSSQL 2005

    Say I have two servers(environments) and two databases on the each servers respectively:
    Server1 - Development_DB
    Server2 - Testing_DB

    I'm i able to read the tables of both databases in the same script?

    For a start you could see Configuring Linked Servers and use that as a method of being able to see both servers from one script/query and use that for comparison.

    If that's too complex there's plenty of data comparison tools that will tell you what the differences are between two databases. Not intending to advertise or anything but RedGate SQL Data Compare is what I use when I need to quickly compare/synchronise the contents of two databases.
