Instaclick Web Development Team Lead is responsible for the development of Internet web site. We are committed to evaluate, select, and implement pragmatic, cost effective emerging Internet and database technologies, with the goal to deploy a set of reliable functions to support our client’s business model.
Team Lead (TL) role:
o Provide management guidance to the team based on functional managers direction
o Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.
o Supervise, coach, motivate and inspire team members to maintain healthy group dynamics.
o Assure team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team.
o Lead as role model – behavior consistent with verbal directives.
o Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with cross-functional teams
Team Lead (TL) responsibilities:
o Provide project leadership to the technical resource team and work in conjunction with Development Manager and Project Managers to define project scope, create plan, estimate tasks schedule and coordinate activities related to web development projects.
o Create Functional Design Document from Business Requirement Document.
o Provide testing strategies document and prepare use cases to support testing of new solution and meet Quality Assurance targets prior to production implementation.
o Prepare and coordinate reviews with Architecture team for approval of Functional Specifications and Technical Design documents for web site applications.
o Ensure customer requirement are understood, functional specifications, design targets, development process, design standards, techniques and tools are in place and follow.
o Liaison with Project Mangers to resolve scheduling conflict and project dependencies.
o Conduct timely project status meetings with project managers and functional managers to discuss task accomplishment, project impediments, resource requirement or issues/delay in completing assigned tasks.
o Publish status report to track team activities and task accomplishment against the project plan schedule,
o Facilitate problem solving and collaboration, ensure discussions and make decisions that lead toward closure, intervene when necessary to aid the team in resolving issues.
o Keeping the team focused on the tasks and allow the team to make its own decisions within their abilities.
o Prepare team member’s annual performance evaluation review for management assessment.
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
o Minimum of 5 years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization required.
o Must have at least 5 years experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market.
o LAMP software development and/or related software experience with a large development project strongly preferred.
o Large/enterprise application development experience preferred.
o Strong understanding of the software development cycle.
o Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills.
o Experience in computer programming using PHP, AJAX, Java or other web application frameworks.
o Project management experience desired.
o Be able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management and building/developing great engineering teams.
o Experience solving complex and large-scare software problems.
o Experience in the development of software (Sourceforge) and bug-tracking software (JIRA) tools a strong plus.
o A record successful delivery of software systems as an individual, team leader and or/development manager.
o A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects.
o An entrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skills.
o Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done.
o Excellent written and oral communication.
o Test Driven Development, MVC models, and Agile Methodology an asset.
