    Unanswered: Invalid Argument error 3001

    Yikes!

    Union Query 1: Combines recs from two tables.
    -------------------------------------------------
    SELECT [TblCARETSDataPEND&CLOSD].*
    FROM [TblCARETSDataPEND&CLOSD]

    UNION ALL SELECT TblCARETSDataACTIVES.*
    FROM TblCARETSDataACTIVES
    ORDER BY ListOfficeName, City;
    -------------------------------------------------

    Query 2:
    -----------------------------------------------------
    SELECT qryCARETSUnionAll.* INTO tblCARETSData
    FROM qryCARETSUnionAll;
    -----------------------------------------------------
    Makes tblCARETSData from query one.

    Testing query 2 shows all of the records together.

    If I execute ! query 2 I get the invalid argument 3001 error.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Rick

    The FIX was "Compact Database!

    After searching further I discovered a posting that suggested try "Compact Database."

    Fixed it - no 3001 error thereafter.

    Hope it helps someone in the future.

    If you needed to compact/repair the database to fix the error you mentioned, I would make a backup of the mdb and then possibly import the tables/other objects into a new blank mdb. Typically running the compact/repair db to fix an error such as you indicated would indicate that something is perhaps corrupt with the table.

    If possible, I would create a new mdb/accdb and then import the table(s)/objects to make sure there aren't any other problems lingering.

    But make sure you create a backup of the mdb/accdb!
