Unanswered: Database Compatibility issue
I am facing some issues after restoring the SQL 2000 database into SQL 2005.. Some procedures are not functioning properly, that means we are getting a custom error pages when we are accessing certain site pages.. Is it a known issue? Is there any fix for it? I have also Changed the database compatible level to 80, but still getting the error page.. Please advise me as soon as possible..
one of the error code is given below
where UserId= CAST (@UserId as UniqueIdentifier(16))

Well, I don't seem to be able to find a 2K box to check it, but none of the documentation that I located so far even hints on allowing a length parameter to UNIQUEIDENTIFIER. A quick test on 2K5 with your code resulted in this:
Msg 291, Level 16, State 1, Line 2
CAST or CONVERT: invalid attributes specified for type 'uniqueidentifier'
"The data in a record depends on the Key to the record, the Whole Key, and
nothing but the Key, so help me Codd."
