    Red face Unanswered: DOS Attacks

HI Everyone, I a database that the users access throught Access 2007, SQL Server 2005 is the engine. The Authentication is Mixed Mode, every user has their own user name and password. The database has been running fine for over a year but now users are getting dropped left and right. I was doing some research on HTTP Endpoints but not that familar with it. Would that be a good route to go
What abut using web services to allow connection to the databases. expose HTTP Endpoints to the application and or remote users that only allows connect to authorized users.
They can access the database anywhere through access so its on the web.
We have a heavy duty router but I'm afraid thats not enough. Was thinking cloud technology also

Expose Stored Procedures to ASP.NET through HTTP Endpoints
