Question Unanswered: Assigning value to an unbound field from a subform

Hello there, here is the issue,
I have a form with an unbound field [TotalYards] tha needs to be updated.
The main form has 2 linked subforms, in other words.
    MainForm
    SubForm1
    SubFrom2

I need to update the [TotalYards] unbound field in the main form, with the sum of [TotalYards] in the SubForm2 table field.

I have tried the following, but it doesn't work.

I have [tmpTotalYards] unbound field in subform2 formheader section that adds the table field [TotalYards] eg: "=Sum(nz([TotalYards],0))", I've build an event in the control source of the unbound field of my mainform and point to the subform2 tmptotalyards unbound field, but it does not work.

    any ideas?
    thanks
    Carlos
