    Post Unanswered: LOB Segment Shrinking

    In ORACLE , Is the Online segment shrinking (SS)is the preferred method for de fragmenting a segment and recovering free storage space.

    What are Risks or precautions to be taken , and under what scenarios we should go for such task.


    If the tablespace contains LOB , whether to go for SS , Pl advice on this

    This is not a real time support forum.

    Such a forum should be used when all you have tried for yourself couldn't get you the answer you are looking for.
