Unanswered: Access 2010 - System dsn

    Hi,

I'm running an old Access 2003 mdb on an Access 2010 machine (Windows7). I created a System dsn, but when I go to relink the tables, the 'select datasource' dialog only has tabs for File and User dsns.

How can I link using the System dsn?

    TIA,
    Joanne

Why do you need to go through a DSN instead of linking directly to the db?

Sorry, forgot to mention it's an Access front end with a SQL Server back end.

Hmm...I don't know why your system is doing what it is doing but have you see this link: Using DSN-Less Connections
