    Unanswered: IBM Power HA

    Hello guys,

    I am running a HADR on DB2 Version 9.5 Fixpack 7

Now I am looking for a solution which allows me to make my databases highly available. A friend of mine suggested me the IBM Power HA , but does this support to make an automatic takeover on my databases for the case that one db crashes ... ?

Honestly until my friend suggest me IBM Power HA I was thinking of using the IBM TSA.

Can you show me any advantages or disadvantages or those two solutions?

IBM Power HA it the rebranded HACMP, and while it theorectically will work, TSA is becoming more tightly integrated with DB2 with each new release, and it is included for free with DB2.

    I agree with Marcus ..

If your environment has other apps that are HA, you may want to consider a homogeneous solution rather than tsa for db2 alone. this might make it easier for support personnel.
