Unanswered: IXF backward compatability from DB2 v9.7 to v9.1.

I am trying to db2move a database created in DB2 9.7 to DB2 9.1 but I can't. Firstly, 9.1 does not understand all of the syntax in the file generated by v9.7 db2look and secondly, I'm pretty sure IDENTITY columns are a problem as well when trying to do a straight move.

    Systems used - Windows 2008R2, DB2 v9.7P3, v9.1P4.

    Is there a workaround?

I suspect you will just have to fix the DDL where it is not compatible with previous release.

For identity columns, I exclude them from db2move and load them back with identity override option on load command. Other option is to change them to "generated by default" instead of "generated always" in the new DDL.

AFAIK, ixf generated on 9.7 is compatible to load into 9.1

As Marcus suggested, syntax of db2look has to be checked ..
