Smile Unanswered: Updating table from excel sheet

    Hi,
i have migrated data from excel sheet to database. now there are 10 records in excel sheet and 10 records in database. If i am updating any value in excel sheet that shud reflect in the database.

    firstname lastname price_list

    ram kumar 8000
    shyam sharma 9000
    ram jha 6000

Note that first field can be duplicate but combination of 1st and 2nd column won't permit duplicate values. Now if i update price for ram (1st row) from 8k to 12k, instead of updating i am getting one more value.

    Thank you

Probably need a unique identifier on the row and a where clause.

Smile 2 columns together defined uniquely won't work?

Could you write me a trigger on the table or a procedure for it so that whenever i update in excel sheet, it will reflect in database?

    Thanks
