    Hi,

I'm working on accessing an ODBC data source from DB2 UDB. The ODBC data source is a SQL Server database. My first step was to CREATE WRAPPER ODBC, but DB2 complained about the db2rcodbc.dll file not found. Do I have to install a separate DB2 add-on software for this?

I have DB2 Workgroup Server and IBM Data Server Client installed, both at V9.5 fixpack 5. Platform is Windows 32-bit.

    Thanks.

You can Federate from DB2 to DB2 for free, but you have to buy something extra to go anywhere else.

Thanks for your quick response Andy.

Do you know what is that "something extra"? Is it another DB2 product?

I am not sure what IBM is calling it these days. It used to be called "Heterogeneous Federation". It might be called Federation Server, or something like that.
