    Unanswered: Substituting RPMs on install

    I'm installing 10.2 on RH 4.1.2 (64 bit)

Been able to install most of the required RPMs for the install.

However, there are 2 that are missing in our repository.

    gnome-libs
    xscreensaver

Would you think that it may be acceptable to substitute certain ones to get a complete install and most function?
(I don't care about full Oracle support, this is mostly a POC that's pushing forward under the gun)
Its a pain to get system techs to download more and make them available.

    Maybe ?
    gnome-screensaver.x86_64

Maybe both or one of these?
    gnome-desktop-devel.x86_64

    gnome-utils-devel.x86_64

    Any feedback would be appreciated...

I have a feeling that gnome-libs and the screensaver are not particularly important for the proper operation of an Oracle database. I would force the Oracle installer to ignore prerequisite checks:

    runinstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs
