    Unanswered: db2setup failed on AIX 6.1 [Db2 9.7 + AIX 6.1]

    Hello!
    I have issue with installing db2 on my new server. Setup fail after 2-3 second at the start. In /tmp i found db2setup.err

    java core dump issue

    While invoking one of the setup files for creating people soft web server domains , I get the java core dump error.

    Its under AIX 6.1

    And what has that to do with DB2?

    Maybe you want to tell us what "setup.aix" is doing? I don't know the setup of peoplesoft web server domain well enough to understand what it does.

    Cool

    set the JAVA_COMPILER to none in your AIX 6.1 before starting the install.

    export JAVA_COMPILER=none

    This should prevent the installation from crashing!
