    im using 10g

    in alert log file im getting...

    my database is open....even i started database once again but no error but in alert log file the above error is flused....

    in orcl_smon_2748.trc floowing line is present

    It means that you have a corrupted database block or a hard drive surface error that is corrupting the block. The query given by anacedent will show you what tables if any are using that block.

    thats corruption is resolved ....after that i got block corruption in sysaux steps are as follow....

    i just rebuiled that index taken file online my database is working fine....
    after that at shutdown once again i got corrupted blocks in system01.dbf...
    n frequently i hav corrupted block in system or sysaux datafile...all this is sudden...

    now how to resolve...even while taking backup im getting error...
    ORA-19566 - Exceeded limit of %s corrupt blocks for file

    i used to replair blocks using BMR but next day once again a corruption...its in system or sysaux....
    done with DBV it shows me 12 blocks corrupted influx 9...

    now it is a physical corruption...

    so how to detect bad sectors in OS...any idea...coz i tried from database side...anything elese i can do here...plsss suggest some solutions..

    Sounds like the disk array, or drive(s) are failing on you. Get some new hardware as soon as possible, as not all block corruption situations can be resolved so easily. Also, get to know your backup and (and perhaps even more importantly) restore strategy by heart. You may end up needing it very soon.
