    Unanswered: Append query to create a log

    I have multiple accounts. Each account has a list of zones numbers. Each zone has a unique description. Most zones get tested monthly. I have a table for each account that has the account number, zone, and description column.

    I have been manually building a list of information in another table with account number, zone, description, and test date.

    Is there a way to query an account for the list of zones, manually add the test date to the zones that were actually tested, and then add the tested zones to separate table. I need a testing history and the ability to query the last test date...

    So in short, pull a table of info, add a test date to some of the records and record those updated records to another table. I do not code much...

    Use an insert query:
    Code:
    INSERT INTO Tbl_Log ( <Column_1>, ..., <Column_N>, Test_Date )
    SELECT Table1.<Column_1>, ..., Table1.<Column_N>, #12/31/2010# AS TestDate
    FROM Table1;
