Angry Unanswered: One to One Relationship with 2 Forms

I'm having trouble figuring this out...if it's even possible:

I'm constructing a database of customer bids (due dates of each step, completion dates, customer background questions, etc) with a total number of fields of about 250-300 (many of them being text and memo fields).

I have split these fields up into 2 forms with a One to One relationship. However, I would like to have 2 separate forms for these tables instead of using subforms because using a subform would make it a very long form and different people would fill out these 2 sections. However, when I can't get the 2 separate forms linked properly so that creating a new record on the Parent form creates a record with the same Primary Key on the child form. Any ideas?

Possibly a tabbed form would work.
