    Unanswered: Each record in Report creates a separate PDF

    I have a report with about 500 records, it will print each record on a separate page. However when I use a MACRO to OUTPUT to a .PDF file, it will put all 500 records in 1 .pdf file. I want it to be automatic and create a PDF for each record, preferable with a unique name for each PDF, like the name of a field off the report.

    Not all of my thread posted.

    When I changed the tables in the code to linked tables to a SQL db, I received the following error: "ODBC--call failed"
    which did not give me much to go on. I already re-linked the tables but that did not make a difference.

    Code I was using is located here:

    Can you actually open the linked tables and see the data in them?

    Could you try creating the Recordset from a PassThrough query ?
    Code:
        Set dbs = CurrentDb
        Set qdf = dbs.CreateQueryDef
        With qdf
            .Name = "<QueryName>"
            .Connect = "<ConnectionString>"
            .SQL = strSQL
            .ReturnsRecords = True
            Set rst = .OpenRecordset
        End With
    Have a nice day!
