Unanswered: Oracle Grid Failure on Windows

    Hello,

I have an issue when I attempt to access Grid Server via the internet via --> https://ukedgas71.pcroot.com:1158/em...le/logon/logon

If I attempt to restart the DB Console I get

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc>emctl start dbconsole
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control Release 10.2.0.4.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2007 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    https://UKEDGAS71.pcroot.com:1158/em...outApplication
Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control ...The OracleDBConsoleOEMREP service is starting.......................................... ..............
    .................................................. ..............................
    .................................................. ..............................
    .........................
The OracleDBConsoleOEMREP service could not be started.

A service specific error occurred: 1.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.

If I start via Services I get this error message

Error 1053: Service did not respond.

I have checked the exceptions via I.E, the hosts file to ensure there is a
valid entry and the listener is running on the server. What other checks
may I perform or investigate in order to get Grid up and running?

The database is up and running fine.

Any useful suggestions would be appreciated

is listener up & running OK?
    lsnrctl status
    lsnrctl service

what clues exist in EM log file?

I attempted to restart the oms and received this error message

so although the dbconsole does not start it may seem that the software is not configured or installed correctly

If Grid Control is not installed does that mean I cannot issue --> https://ukedgas71.pcroot.com:1158/em...le/logon/logon

emctl start/stop/status/setpasswd oms for database control is obsoleted.
    Use emctl start/stop/status/setpasswd dbconsole.
    Use emctl status dbconsole [-secure]

I understand that at one point this was running and the url actually worked

And is there a particular log or trace file that I need to check / look into

Can you shed any further light.

    Much appreciated
