Unanswered: IMPDP - ORA-31644: unable to position to block number

Sorry to bother, but I'm under deadline pressure and my brain is fried.

    Doing IMPDP
11.2.0.2 source, 11.2.0.1 target (no time to patch as of yet...)
    UTF-8 NLS

Triggering utility by either cmd line or EntMgr
    Either gives...

    by cmd line...
Connected to: Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    ORA-39002: invalid operation
    ORA-31694: master table "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_01" failed to load/unload
ORA-31644: unable to position to block number 2047875 in dump file "/home/oracle/prod_BF_2011-Mar-31-21H06M_schema_expdp.dmp"

    by GUI...
    Errors:
    ORA-39002: invalid operation
    ORA-31694: master table "SYSTEM"."IMPORT_USER000001" failed to load/unload
ORA-31644: unable to position to block number 2047875 in dump file "/home/oracle/prod_BF_2011-Mar-31-21H06M_schema_expdp.dmp"
    Exception :

    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DATAPUMP", line 5531 ORA-06512: at line 5

More than enough room, 35 GB space vs. 1 gb dump.
Tablespaces are on autoextend and one datafile can grow more than enough.

system has all the appropriate privs for the directory.

There is no device error comment after error, so that standard doesn't apply here.

I'm hoping that I don't have a corrupt dump file, don't want to go ask for that again.
And hoping patch isn't necessary, just burns up time, like to avoid that too for now.
But if you think its truly either...

    Any thoughts?

    Thumbs down

The above error messages are usually followed by device messages from the operating system.

Why did you not post them?

Because just like I said above...there was nothing after.
    That's it, nada otherwise.
Thus my curiousity about the situation.

using lower version of impdp than verion of expdp does not work.
If V11.2.0.2 expdp was used (without using VERSION=11.2.0.1), then V11.2.0.2 impdp must be used.

Actually, it was a corrupt/truncated dump file after all.
I'm going to have them redo it with the VERSION=11.2.0.1 option.

    Thanks for the feedback.
