    Active Database model

Does the Active Database model go by any other name by any chance? I tried googling for it but information about it is not coming up, the hierarchical and network database models show up no problem.

    Any ideas?

If someone could link me to an explanation describing it or give me an alternative name for it, that would be amazing.

I was given a project and one of the questions was to give a brief description of the following database models:

    a) Hierarchical model
    b) Network model
    c) Active database

Its not a typo as it appeared on some past exam papers as well. Strange...

ha ha, Relational Database 2010.pdf, and you don't have a link? pull my other leg

2010??? you've got to be kidding

nobody reputable teaches hierarchical and network databases in 2010 (do a quick search for CODASYL, young padawan)

my advice is to go back to your teacher and ask for further information

i suspect you're enrolled in a pretty dodgy course

That pdf is on my hard drive, not online. This course is pretty dodgy, I agree. (chuckles) The problem is the course is now finished and the tutor wasn't exactly great at teaching what was actually coming up in this exam. I tried emailing him but no reply... So thats why I turned to you, good sir.
