I have a .net web application build using C#.
The application connects to Pervasive 9, 10 or 11 Database.
I use a reference to the Pervasive.Data.SQLClient ado.net 3.5 dll.
Currently I use a System.Data.Common.DbConnection however it has been giving me some problems and random issues expecially during excessive load.
I'm considering switching to using a Pervasive.Data.SqlClient.PsqlConnection instead. Does anyone have an opinion on which one is better than the other or if there is any real difference???
One thing to be aware of, the PSQL ADO.NET 3.5 is only supported with PSQL v11.
The PSQL ADO.NET 3.2 works with PSQL v10 and v11 but might work with v9. PSQL v9 was only supported with PSQL ADO.NET 2.1.
I know of applications that use both methods and both applications work fine. I don't think it matters which one you use.
Start a new thread and post your code, exact error messages and as much information about when the connection problems occur and we can try to help.
